Meet Our Realtors
Chris Story, Broker
Born and raised on Homer’s Garden Bench, Chris Story grew up surrounded by family—living side by side with his grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins in what he fondly remembers as an idyllic Alaskan upbringing. Those early days instilled in him a love for community, self-reliance, and the unmatched beauty of life on the Kachemak Bay.
Chris has spent over two decades immersed in the Homer real estate market as both an investor and broker. Since 2007, he and his wife Tiffanie have owned and operated Story Real Estate, building a team grounded in integrity, local expertise, and a heart for helping people make meaningful moves.
A natural communicator, Chris hosts the long-running local radio show On Top of the World, where he blends real estate insights with personal development and a belief in living your best life—right where you are. He’s the author of several books, including Born to Live, The Backyard Millionaire, and The Millionaire Maker: 6 Practical Steps to Your First 4 Homes (available free with newsletter signup).
Chris also coaches others on mindset, money, and building wealth through real estate. But at his core, he’s a family man—devoted to his wife, two daughters, growing crew of grandchildren, and his parents, all of whom still call Homer home.
When he’s not selling, writing, or on the airwaves, you’ll find Chris walking the beach with Tiffanie and their two King Charles Cavaliers, diving into a good book, or volunteering as an auctioneer at a local charity event.

Max Lowe, Realtor
Max’s family moved from Montana to Anchorage when he was a kid in 1986, and they immediately began making regular visits to Homer to explore Kachemak Bay.
Through the years, much of Max’s family resettled in Homer, and Max would visit whenever he could. He often dreamed that one day he might live here as well.
After studying geography and film in Colorado and traveling the US and Europe, Max spent more than a decade in brewery and restaurant management in Chicago.
In 2019, Max decided it was finally time to settle down in Homer, to be close to his family, and to enjoy the most beautiful place he’d ever known.
Before joining the Story Team, Max worked locally in construction management and bookkeeping, learning a great deal about what it takes to build and maintain an
Alaskan dream. He’s thrilled to be able to help others realize their Alaskan dreams by connecting with those who share a love of this fantastic place and exploring the vast array of possibilities this land has to offer.
Max can often be found with his loved ones hiking, playing hockey, strumming a guitar, gardening, or cooking whatever local food he can find.
